Hudson police will have a field sobriety checkpoint this weekend. To all concerned drivers, please remember field sobriety tests are voluntary. If you are being asked out of the vehicle ask the officer if he is asking you or if it is mandatory. If he is asking, you can refuse that as well. Finally, if the officer asks if you had anything to drink, you do not have to answer that question as you have a right not to incriminate yourself. You may also tell the officer you want to speak with a lawyer. However, please be polite to the cops.
